1. To add injury to insult, trying to open the stiff window I wrenched my back which was incredibly painful and made the last day of our vacation very unpleasant dosed up on ibuprofen - all because I was trying to re-fix something the hotel engineers should have sorted just to get some sleep.

2. So in the middle of the night I found myself hanging out of the window trying to place another towel onto the unit which then blocked the air vent meaning we couldn't use the AC which was pretty unpleasant as it was sweltering.
