1. When we asked the concierge for some info or help he gave us the impression of being annoyed, so we ended up making our own arrangements.

3. For that kind of money I would have expected more than a tired and dated room, no breakfast, a dysfunctional and noisy cooling unit (which is is required as the 16th floor rooms get seriously hot even though it's freezing outside), no black out blinds (or full width blinds of any kind for that matter) and no free wifi (which always annoys me greatly when expensive hotels charge you for this now basic service).

6. When I went to check-in, the front desk clerk seemed annoyed that I was there so early and explained that check-in wasn't till 4 p.

7. The only sore points were - we had to pay for internet which was annoying, the lifts can take some time, particularly if there is a break-down, and there is a manual air-con unit which is quite noisy.

8. It's not a big deal, and this is an older hotel so the elevators may not be as modern, but it was annoying at times.

9. The cabs have a very annoying habit of blasting the horn as soon as the light turns green even if they are 15 cars back.
