1. If you or anyone in your party is elderly, or if you have children, I'd definitely avoid this place due to safety concerns.

5. They take a copy of your ID on check in, so you might want to avoid that policy if possible, especially since they use a digital scanner to capture it.

8. It was a great location for us - a subway stop on 49th/50th, near to Times Square but also far enough away to be avoided if you want.
"For a last-minute holiday on a busy weekend, The Belvedere ticked all the boxes " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/4/2011 Vote
9. The hotel is on a relatively quiet side street northwest of Times Square, which makes it conveniently close to Times Square if that's where you want to be, but far enough away from Times Square that you can completely ignore Times Square if that's what you want (use the 49th and 50th street stations for the subway if you want to avoid the chaos of the 42nd street stations at TS and the Port Authority Terminal).
"Great location, but paper thin walls " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/1/2011 Vote
10. The beds beat EVERY other bed I have ever stayed in, including the Westin's Heavenly Bed, the only downside was that I would get very hot in the middle of the net due to all the upper bedding, so you can simply pull back your top duvet to avoid this if you are inclined to get hot.
"Best Beds, Big Room, Great Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/25/2010 Vote
