1. The porters were all miserable but so would I be if I had to wear such ill fitting and shabby uniforms.
"Reasonable hotel that could have been great !!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/28/2012 Vote
2. The management comment about leaving the wood stained so as to bring out it's 'natural beauty' is a very lame excuse for a lazy and shabby finish.
"Disappointing experience overall but great location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/13/2011 Vote
3. It's a badly designed feature and looks particularly shabby.

4. - there had been a kettle in the kitchenette, rather than a filter coffee-maker which we found confusing to use and so did not; the breakfasts had been a little cheaper (I considered both options to be somewhat expensive, notwithstanding the convenience and range of choices); the air-con system had been a little more modern, as it gave a slightly 'shabby' impression of an otherwise nice roomTips for future guests:- use the elevators at the ends of the corridors, not just the two in the central bank- the deli on the end of the street (48th & 8th Ave) is great, and does lovely fresh-made sandwiches.

5. We had not realised that most of the better reviews and most of the images on Tripadvisor relate to the refurbished Executive rooms and so when we arrived we were surprised and disappointed to find our room on the 9th floor was very dated, quite shabby and in real need of refurbishment.
"Expect to be disappointed if you book a standard room (& beware of the shower!!) " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/11/2011 Vote

7. I expected 'old and outdated', but not shabby.

8. I was very disappointed in how shabby the furniture was--coffee rings on tables and furniture in disrepair.

9. Decor a little shabby ,lifts slow and TV rather ancient but it was a bargain price so didnt expect state of art trimmings.
"Great location and everything you need " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/2/2009 Vote
10. It`s an older property, with a finicky heating system and somewhat shabby furniture, but in my room at least, the money had been spent on the most important elements: the bed and the spotless (though small) bathroom.
"A very good tourist hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/25/2007 Vote
