You probably would need a cab to get to most touristy places, but there are offices and restaurants within walking distance, and it is worth a cab fare to
avoid
the usual city traffic noise.

I do realise I was staying over Easter and the hotel was busy but the breakfast queues were quite often so long you had to come down early to try to
avoid
them.

The only complaint about the breakfast was that it was very crowded after 9 AM so, as the hotel suggests, get there before then if you want to
avoid
the crowd.
