1. But as the current owner of this hotel now has plans to demolish it and replace it with a 67-story office tower ( Google ' Penn Plaza tower OK'd ' ) I guess there will not be any more refurbishment until the day this hotel finally closes, which could explain the very obvious lack of maintenance.

4. Rather than any charm from the obvious age, lack of attention and investment paid to it, the quality and standard of both public areas and rooms is a disgrace to the owners of the hotel and the city in which it is located.
