1. Not for those with small kids to do, although it is next to rock creek so I imagine those who like to jog or even go for walks with kids might benefit form this.

2. It is nice to get out of the main corridor (K-Street) for a change and venture to the Northwest on Connecticut Avenue for some nice surroundings (rock Creek) and some pretty good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby.
