3. The shoreham is sound proof and feels like a solidly constructed building, dining rooms and ball rooms are very large and nicely furnished.

4. I really don't have any 'cons' or negatives, the only 'non-positive' comments I'll make are more constructive criticism:- the towels could have been a little softer (though in the hotel's defense maybe we just got older towels)- a tv/channel guide in the rooms would be helpful- though this last thing didn't affect us, it did affect others in the hotel and had it been me I would have gone ape - on Easter they were terribly shorthanded with bus service of the tables.

7. Re: previous comments about noise due to construction, yes, it`s present - but do you know any major city where it ISN`T? Re: other reviews complaining about the 'unfinished' bed linens in the renovated rooms, the bed is triple-sheeted and there is a comforter between the layers, along with a spare blanket in the closet - you will be warm enough, and the room still looks tastefully appointed, bedspread or no.
