5. In addition, the housekeeping staff needs some training: my bathroom was uncleaned on check-in (razor blade in shower), the sheets badly laundered (hairs), and I found a moldy sac of coffee sitting in the water reservoir of the coffee maker.

I appreciated having a basic room, centrally located, without paying for frills of lots of hotel attendants, etc. It seemed very efficient to have extra supplies (iron, pillow, blanket) in a closet on each floor so one didn't have to buzz housekeeping unless needed (as I did since we had one washcloth for 2 people).
