1. I took Tripadvisor advice to book a higher floor deluxe room (very little extra cost) and stayed in a quiet (even on Halloween weekend.

4. We have stayed at other Kimpton properties in San Francisco and prefer the Serrano for a myriad of reasons, interestingly; cost is not always the deciding factor.

10. Parking in SF is outrageous - so be prepared to pay at least $40 a night and you may want to consider that when determining total room costs.
