1. The lobby bar is very nicely designed, and reception are proffessional, although a little stretched for staff at peak times.

3. My 12th floor hallway would have benefitted from a thorough vaccuuming, but overall the physical appearance of the Allerton is very good from its motor entrance to the lobby, restaurant, and other public areas including my room.

4. We spent time in the lobby bar and really liked the intimate ambiance with the fireplace, bowls of spicy snacks, etc. Only issue we had was that check-in took a long time and they seemed to be understaffed- but I guess it's to be expected at check-in time on a Saturday night.

5. While there isn't an in-room coffee maker, there is really good coffee available in the lobby in the morning.

7. There is free coffee in the morning and lemonade in the afternoon in the lobby (on 2nd level).

8. In addition, not only do they have a machine to do check-in and boarding passes, they have a full departure board (like in the airport) in the lobby so you can see your flight status before leaving the hotel.
