2. When our bill arrived we noted that we had to pay $5 for each orange juice and $3 for a cup of coffee (which was FREE around the corner from 6a-11am~!) Overall the hotel was ok for the price but I think I will be looking around if I travel back to Chicago.

3. We got a tiny room with small window looking to no where, the room smelled old with no air circulation, minibar had food from previous guest, no coffee in the room, loud air condition, when checking out found extra charges on the bill for the minibar that we reported unclean.

4. The reception clerk tried to fight that we had 2 devices connected but when I pointed out that the timing on the bill was exactly the same, he finally conceded that it would be a strange co-incidence and therefore agreed to reverse one of the charges.

7. We received a phone call a half hour after arrival that our room was ready, and received a portion off our bill to comp for the wine.

8. True, I should have spotted this on the bill at check-out, but I'd asked for a new bill as I'd had a bottle of water from the mini-bar, & as there were also cocktails from the bar on the bill & the taxi was waiting, I didn't register the discrepancy.

9. As it's a silly amount of money, I'm not going to bother making a transatlantic phone-call on my home phone-bill, but as this suggests shoddier customer service than I'd expect from any hotel (let alone one in America), I'm also not going to bother booking here again.

10. Check out: I usually never write about check out since with folio's on your tv and smartphones this process 9 times out of 10 is eliminated, but I had to check out because there was a mix up on my bill when I reviewed it; I was inadvertently charged for valet charges when we didn't use them.
