1. For about the same net cost per night there are better-run properties and lower cost options are a few blocks away.

2. There are also high quality food stores such as Treasure Island in the area, and their deli section, salad bars, and hot food selections are surprisingly nice and fairly reasonable in cost.

6. Meals are good and well priced for Chicago but by far the best thing about the hotel is its location, smack bang in the middle of downtown Chicago so it costs nothing in a taxi to get to say the financial district or hop on the 'L' (train) to see a baseball game at Wrigley Field.
"Fantastic Michigan Ave location. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/30/2012 Vote
7. The prices were at typical Streeteville levels, so presumably food costs plus the $50 per night parking fees makes up for the discounted room rates that are often available.

8. Despite the cost of the room (which I believe should have been comped because of our ridiculous wait), we paid $50 for parking + $18 for other fees (taxes?), I felt totally ripped off for the money I paid.
"AVOID if using GROUPON " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/20/2012 Vote
9. If you drive to the hotel, parking is available in the garage next door and costs over $40 per 24hrs (ouch!; but common in the city).
"Good for the price; good location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/31/2011 Vote
