2. This is great because you can hop on/off either the Uptown or Downtown routes and get virtually anywhere in New York relatively quick.

Makes a great base for a short trip in New York as its also right by the subway so anywhere in Midtown, Uptown or Downtown is easy to get to,Rooms were decent sized and the beds large and very comfortable, although you can hear the street noise (we were on the 6th floor) its not a big deal and certainly didn't keep us awake.

5. You can also walk almost everywhere downtown to the big name stores for shopping, if you don't mind a 10 minute walk or so - we didn't.

7. The subway entrance is opposite, If you fancy a bit of boutique shopping in Soho the A,C,E trains take you downtown in minutes and down to the financial district for the WTC site, Battery Park and the ferries.

9. They go all over the city from downtown to central park to harlem to brooklyn and the guides on the buses are fantastic.
