1. The public parking is also around the corner as an alternative to the Gansevoort parking (~$40.00/day).

Negatives, lobby is unimpressive with a single small blue door, the use of gym is not included, the TV takes about 120 seconds to turn on, elevator access is confusing, dining is pricey (including a rediculously overpriced Chinese restaurant, I don't care if he is a celebrity shet, orange chicken shouldn't never be $60), and parking was a total rip off.

7. The lobby area is standard, though the entrances are a little confusing and the exit from the lobby has a door that looks like a parking lot exit door, which I don't think is meant to be ironic.

It's a 15 minute (beautiful) walk on the boardwalk to Lincoln Road, where lots of restaurants and shops are located, and you can get everywhere else by taxi, which, if you're staying within the South Beach area, will be cheaper than the cost of a rental car and the parking charge at the hotel, which I think was around $25 a day.
