1. From the room's side window we could see up to the Upper West Side and from the huge window looking West a complete view of the Hudson River was before us.

2. The welcome was gracious and the room was very clean and spacious with the usual Kimpton touches that make you smile with a huge bathroom and the now famous lovely shower and a separate tub.

My only minor complaints were that there was no turn down service--so late night we were struggling to pull the shades over those gorgeous huge windows, and the next day housekeeping woke us up at 9 AM after our late night of partying to clean the room, and proceeded to come back twice to see if we were out yet, despite it being our check out day.

5. We booked a City View Suite on the 12th floor and it was fantastic; very spacious with a big walk-in shower, a large bath tub, two separate sinks with mirrors side-by-side and then a huge king-sized bed plus a couch and other chairs/stools in the room towards the window.

9. We stayed in the standard room which wasn't huge however when in New York, who spends much time in their room, it was clean and spacious enough to serve it's purpose and the bed was very comfortable.
