1. All of the usual Kimpton extras are there: the free wine hour in the lobby; pet friendly; friendly and efficient staff.

2. We ate at the restaurant, drank at the bar and enjoyed the free happy hour and I can't think of one complaint.

3. As a Kimpton In-Touch member, you also get a $15 free pass on the in-room fridge items (which still doesn't cover a small bottle of wine completely, but $8 is better than $23, right?).

4. One negative about the hotel is that there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, very very minor point and in fairness they did serve free tea and coffee in the lobby from 6am so as I said, only a minor point but in-room facilities would have been nice, especially with the jet lag of waking in the early hours.

5. The doorman was very courteous and would always ask if we need a taxi and hail one for us; on the last day they kept five bags for us stowed away as our flight was six hours after check-out time and they stored them free of charge and then carried them to the taxi which he hailed for us, great service whilst we sat back in the lounge area having a drink.

6. Each morning we'd take advantage of the free fresh coffee between 6am and 9am (weekdays) and 7am-10am (weekends), they also did a variety of teas.

7. Also I loved having free WiFi; I registered for free with Kimpton online about a week before travelling though you could do it there and then if you wanted; by registering you become a member and get free WiFi which is very quick and reliable.
