3. The welcome was gracious and the room was very clean and spacious with the usual Kimpton touches that make you smile with a huge bathroom and the now famous lovely shower and a separate tub.

At the end of the day, it's a nice hotel but given the various other options, chances are unless they clean up their first impression issues I've had with them I don't know if I can vouch for it being a top choice in NY, nor recommend it to people who hold accountability and communication standards to staff.
