1. I booked the hotel less than a day before arrival thinking there would be plenty of availability, thank goodness I didn't wait too long.

Well, let me start out with the good things about this hotel: great location, plenty of hot water for showers, wash basin is separated from toilet/shower so 2 people can get ready at the same time in the morning, the wait staff in the restaurant are pleasant, and the balcony doors open to let in fresh air (but there are no screens).
