1. Even though then room is dated and there was an internet connection and no wifi, the room was spacious and clean and had a new flat screen TV which worked well.

7. 5 to 3-star since the rooms could use a makeover but priced appropriately, the restaurant was tastefully renovated and they have an excellent new chief, who was the executive chef at the Mauna Kea Hotel & Resort for years, and the management and staff are superb and portray the true meaning of the aloha hospitality spirit.

8. It's not new but the facilities are maintained as best they can be especially since they are ocean front, buildings here take a lot of beating.

9. The decor is dated like the rest of the hotel, the chairs and table in the balcony are very old and rusty, the airconditioning is not working, there are new patches of wallpaper to cover the old and the vent is very dirty and moldy.
