1. The gardens next to the hotel are worth a visit too, lovely Japanese style, and we walked down Banyan Drive and checked out who planted each tree, like George V, Amelia Earhart it was really cool.

2. This is not a resort but rooms were clean, have internet access, and small TV, small fridge was a surprise but a plus to keep cool drinks on hand.

8. The location is cool, right next door to the Lili'uokalani Gardens and the bridge to Coconut Island, which are great places for a stroll.
