5. We took a chance and planned on asking for a newly remodeled room away from the construction noise and with a fair amount of furniture (as many complained that the new rooms were barely furnished).

10. On the plus side, the room had very tall, bright, south facing windows, and it's on Bourbon Street (near Canal) and street noise was not an issue at all.
