5. Now, the negatives: Rooms and hallways smell of smoke; guests tend to make noise in the hallways at night, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

6. Situated only one block from Bourbon Street, it's in a great position to offer its guests all the smells, sounds and spectacles of one of the world's most famous party headquarters - while providing it's guests a welcome buffer of safety and comfort at the same time.

8. If you would judge the Omni by its lobby you would think the entire hotel would be spectacular, however when we stepped off the elevator we were welcomed by a dark dingy hallway that had horribly fithy carpets and smelled like an ashtray.
"If you want a great French Quarter location-Omni has it and that's it! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/12/2009 Vote
9. Room 540 was near the elevator and was a smoking room, however, I could not smell any type of smoky odor (and trust me, I'm very fussy about bad odors), and its proximity to the elevator was not a problem with regard to noise -- I didn't hear the elevator dinging or anything like that.
"Great location, comfortable room " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/17/2008 Vote
10. The room I booked was so small, smaller than a normal walk-in closet, very dark and also with an old and filthy carpet with the odd smell.
"Claustrophobia in the Omni! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/4/2007 Vote
