1. What else would you expect from such an old historic hotel? Rooms were very quiet, but some noise came in from the hallway - not through the walls.

2. My complaints are reasonable: there was loud noise during sleeping hours in the adjacent walls from HVAC (mine was OFF) and water running in other rooms.

8. The staff responded well to requests - my room was above a banquet hall and when the noise was a bit too much on Saturday night, the staff went to the event manager and 15 minutes late the noise died down.

10. Bearing in mind that it was Halloween in the French Quarter, we experienced some ambient noise from other guests in the hallways, but it was certainly not a 'party' atmosphere.
