2. On my last night in town I was able to take a portion of the money I saved and purchase my wife a nice bracelet at Tiffany's, which made the shortcomings of the hotel all the more bearable.

3. So what were the shortcomings?There was dried blood on the bed comforter, which unfortunately I didn't notice until the morning after I slept it in.

4. At that rate, I was much more 'forgiving' of some of the shortcomings of the hotel than I would have been if I was paying $300 per night.
