The second room was no great shakes either - big gap under the room door, a small room for the price, and incredible
noise
from both our air on unit (which we needed to actually heat the room), but also the unit from the adjoining room.

One night there was a
noise
from the bldg machinery that never stopped, so luckily I had earplugs.

Great location, though - but definitely request an interior room or the
noise
from outside is really bad.

We asked for upper floors (based on reviews here for less street
noise
) but the windows opened out towards wall of neigbouring hotel.

The staff did their best but they were also aware that the hotel was not adequately insulated from street
noise
and my guess is that we were not the only ones complaining.

Unfortunately, the rooms on the street side (we were on the 4th floor, so not on the ground floor), did not block out much of the
noise
and we had 3 very sleepless nights.

You want to get an inside corridor room if the
