1. The only negative would be the huge bags of towels and garbage that would be placed near the elevator making it difficult to navigate around given the smaller hallways.

2. Now the negatives: Standard room? Having to wedge between the foot of the bed and a radiator (maybe 12') to get into bed? I have seen compact hotel rooms, but this is definitely the smallest I have ever seen.

8. I really hate writing negative reviews (especially over so small an amount of money), but hopefully this may allow people to avoid a similar error, which could well be for a less trifling amount.

I know that I'm kind of cutting off my nose to spite my face - on the evidence of my actual stay at the hotel, I'd rate it 5* on all counts, & would wholeheartedly recommend The Allerton to anyone, & urge them to ignore the negative reviews about room-size & queues for the lift (yes, you may have to wait, but you get to chat to lovely people while doing so.

10. I'm objective remember so the ONLY negative things are slow elevator's & expensive parking right at $50 per day, but just relax it's an old hotel with all kinds of charm that makes up for it.
