The hotel itself has a great location right on the famous Lakeshore Drive, overlooking Lake Michigan at Navy Pier, and seems to be a hub for young hipsters (we chatted up a nice kid who turned out to be an Armani model while waiting for our cab to dinner), and the reception area and bars are loud and bustling.

10. As a Platinum member, I was upgraded to a lakeview room on the 20th floor, very nice, although for some reason it seemed to be a bit loud outside, even 20 floors up.
