1. After a long and tiring flight with two kids (13 and 16) in tow , no matter how you try to unpack in a small way for one night just to access the essentials , it was still an inconvenience, and still ate into our precious time in NY having to repack ready to move rooms again , also having to allow time the following day to unpack and get resettled .

4. Clearly management did not feel it was a big deal for a customer to handle a BIOHAZARD in their room as I was offered 10,000 points for my inconvenience.

7. Everyone involed was extremely apologetic and compensated us for the inconvenience (no one needs to know what the compensation was, but suffice to say it was much more than was expected.

The only minor thing we had a problem with in each room was the safe - neither worked and in fact ours was taken away as the problem could not be rectified but the Crowne Plaza did have a plan B in that they have a deposit box system which even though a little inconvenient if it was busy in the lobby was a very good option and completely out of the public eye and you needed to sign each time you used it for security purposes.

9. We experienced our safe not working and housekeeping had an engineer decked out in full boot and suit within minutes, the security manager, also an extremely charming immaculate gent was involved and profusly apologised for the inconvenience, i almost apoligised back they were so nice.
