1. Only drawback is lack of parking for the units furthest from the front of the resort; it can be a long walk if one has to carry groceries, etc.

2. The only downside was the lack of an on-site restaurant and bar.
"Hanalei Bay 3201, Great View, Great Surroundings! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/20/2012 Vote
3. Due to the lack of communication from the rental company, we turned to the resort staff to help us clean the room.
"Terrible Cleaning & So-so Service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/21/2011 Vote
4. I do agree with the reviewer who wished there were umbrellas - the lack of shade was a bit problematic, but I simply went in the morning or afternoon where I could strategically place a chair in the shade of a nearby tree.
"Great Location, great place if you know the ins and outs " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/5/2010 Vote
5. Other than when we were carting our luggage, we walked back and forth to the parking lot, so although not as convenient, we realized that it was a definite plus as the lack of cars on the property really added to the tranquility.
"#4323 - Beautiful Condo & Resort! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/28/2008 Vote
6. you'd better not go; we stayed in a condo room in building 8000 and had an amazing view of the ocean and the mountains, the room was clean and cozy, but it lacked storage place (the owners turned the only clothes cabinet into a mini kitchen), so it was very hard for us to unpack and quite inconvenient; given the lack of choices on the north shore, this hotel was a good choice, but I don't long to return there.
"good value for the money " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/25/2007 Vote
7. The luxuriousness of this condo development brings to mind Kapalua in Maui, although Kapalua lacks the concrete structure and HBR's wonderful parking policy.
"Exceeded our expectations " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/15/2006 Vote
8. The locals described the hotel as the classic Hawaiian experience to explain the enormous cockroaches and the lack of updates.
"Classic Hawaii " Read full review on Expedia   8/30/2006 Vote
9. Towels: after reading the complaints about lack of towels, we just kept ours, drying them on the lanai (no, not from the railing) and changing them only every couple of days.
"Bali Hai...is calling! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/20/2006 Vote
10. But really, if they had towels, I might not have even mentioned the lack of beach lounges.
