1. unfortunately, we stayed here only 3 nights and moved on to the Grand Hyatt, which was clearly several steps downward in every way.

2. unfortunately, due to flooding, the bridge to Hanalei was closed until the last day of our trip, so we missed out on the shopping and restaurants in this cute town.

5. The hotel shop was short on just about every necessity, which was unfortunate since the hotel is pretty far from Hanalei.

6. unfortunately, you can't take 'long walks on the beach' because shrubbery divides the bay, so your 'walk' is quite short.
