4. When your hotel was built in 1929 and inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, how can you go wrong? When the hotel has seen every president visit since Herbert Hoover, how cool is that?However, this is 2012 and the standard for luxury has passed by this property, which is huffing and puffing to stay up to speed.

5. One concierge at the main building told us the wrong opening time for the putting range; at Frank & Albert's (one of the restaurants) we inquired around a vegetarian substitution for the burger and our server replied 'You mean like a turkey burger?' That said, on a subsequent visit I heard a different server offer another guest a helpful list dishes on the menu that could be adjusted to become vegetarian, so our server may have just been an exception.
