1. From the series of construction cones and detours that led me to the hotel, to the rushed valet greeting.

2. and it feels like I've been to lots of expensive but NOT idyllic places in recent years, so I suppose that that makes the Arizona Biltmore a great value, right?The hotel was designed by architect Albert Chase McArthur, but you'd never know it was designed by anyone other than Frank Lloyd Wright, who served as a consultant to McArthur during design and construction on the use of the gray cast masonry units used for much of the hotel's construction.

5. The only negative was that there was construction going on, but it was between 8am and 5pm and we were not in the room much during that time.

6. At a resort of this caliber you would expect that the hotel management would not allow construction work to take place at 1:30 am.
