2. Wandering around unfamiliar cities is one of my favorite traveling pastimes, and the area around the Grant is terrific--lots of local flavor in the bars and restaurants nearby.

7. Being greeted by name from the first day, an excellent bar/restaurance in the Grant Grill with soothing live music, lovely truffles brought to our room to celebrate an anniversary and an attentive valet parking staff all combined to make our stay memorable.

10. As everyone said here, the location is outstanding, just outside is the Westin Horton Plaza which we did some Christmas shopping and the Gaslamp district, has so many bars and restaurants, and great for nightlife.
