1. The room was extremely large and well appointed with 12' ceilings, flat screen TV, confortable bed, large bathroom and nice amenities.

6. Since it was Mardi Gras, we know that hotels charge a whole lot more than any other time of the year, but I did not expect to pay over $350.00 per night to be in a stark ugly room with absolutely no amenities.

7. The Marriott is great, clean, has good views of the town or the Mississippi, and has all the amenities you would expect; AND, it was only $15 more per night than the Chateau Bourbon.

8. The Chateau Bourbon was chosen by the planners of a conference I was attending, and I have to ask myself 'What were they thinking?'The web site shows a beautiful, lush hotel close to Bourbon Street, with lovely rooms and top notch amenities.
