4. The location is really handy for shopping - the Beverly Centre mall is right across the street, and there are a few interesting boutiques around (my fav is Scent Bar, an amazing perfume boutique on Beverly).

9. The Sofitel is really a gorgeous hotel, and in an excellent central location in LA for shopping, restaurants, etc. They have a swanky bar and nice vibe.
