but if I had not had a friend that could cover my meals etc while I was there I would have been in a pretty big predicament with all my spending
money
tied up in the hotel authorization.

If you're thinking about this hotel be sure to bring plenty of
money
for taxis-it's a long way from everything except for the Galleria Mall, which is a ten minute walk down dark streets.

Don't miss out on this hotel so wonderfully located near the Galleria Mall - excellent shopping and restaurants nearby - I parked in the self-parking garage and it was a very easy walk to the hotel and my room - if you want to save some
money
on the valet parking - can't say how much I enjoyed my stay here.

Save your
money
and go 3.5* on Priceline/Hotwire for Houston, you'll get a better deal AND a better stay.

If these issues were to be addressed, it might be a decent option, but until then, don't waste your
money
or lose sleep by staying at this hotel.

for the rest of my stay.

I just think most people are watching their
money
pretty closely these days and need to be aware and have the extra $300 available upon check in.

Also, as many previous travelers have commented the parking is $16/day which is pretty steep when they've tied up all my extra
money
the minute i walked in the front door.
