3. Really liked this sweet & hip hotel iNob hill -- a cool neighborhood close to great restaurantsa both high & low brow (one of the best, Saha, at this hotel itself, others in walking distance are fino's, pearl's burgers), cafes (try cup of joe on sutter).

4. You should always be aware of your surroundings at night in an urban environment especially, but this neighborhood is not bad.

6. The neighborhood is borderline but also not bad by SF standards and, as a native New Yorker I enjoyed eschewing the $30 overnight parking fee and successfully fending for myself on nearby streets.

8. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is kind of dullsville, but it's just a quick, five-minute walk to some amazing neighborhoods and streets that are full of great shops and restaurants.

10. On the north edge of the Tenderloin (a not-so-nice neighborhood) we found it convenient to public transportation, to Avis, to great breakfast and dinner spots, and within walking distance to Union Square.
