4. when not riding the bus and mingling with passengers we walked whenever possible-- also ate where the locals ate--all very good---The hotel has a on site restaurant 'Sahar' that you must try-- middle eastern food that was truly delicious-- both the morning and dinner staff are wonderful-and accommodating--- A must do .

5. On the north edge of the Tenderloin (a not-so-nice neighborhood) we found it convenient to public transportation, to Avis, to great breakfast and dinner spots, and within walking distance to Union Square.

7. The breakfast in the hotel is expensive, but loads of cafe's etc around the hotel, hotel recommended Wing Lum the chinese for dinner, this is not much to look at inside, but food was excellent (1 portion between 2 is loads) and we passed on our knowledge to 2 other groups who also ate there.

We asked the concierge for a place to go grab a late dinner and for some reason he was very adamant about us ordering in chinese and staying in and couldn't suggest any places for us to grab food, but we really wanted to get out and see some of San Francisco's night life so luckily my boyfriend had his i-phone which gave us tons of places to grab a late dinner.
