However next time I think I'll stay at the WIT across the
street
as that was a really hip hotel or at the Marriott Downtown which is a better location.

You`re about a block or two from all of the wonderful shopping on Michigan Ave and just around the corner from the flagship Macy`s on State

This hotel`s restaurant, 'Great
Street
Restaurant' had a nice menu with pre-theatre dinner options which were a great value compared to ala carte.

I went to US Cellular Field and walked down State St which is the
street
that is on the west side of the hotel, and took the Red Line subway.

This was the most unethical practice I have ever seen, I cancelled my return reservation for this hotel for a few days later and will be staying across the
street

Almost every subway line, including the red line (the train you would take to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game) is only about 200 steps down the
street

For instance, as a Marriott gold member, I asked about the availability of a river view suite, and luckily one was available, This affords guests an awesome view of the Chicago River, State
Street
, and the heart of downtown.

The rooms are as good as any renaissance, but the one detail that I actually found to be nice, though minor, was the fact that windows for the rooms facing the
street
s were bumped out, allowing you to enjoy watching the activity down the
street
on both ends.
