1. Because we'd spent so much, we didn't really want to go downtown for restaurant dinners, therefore had the luxury of buying food from Ala Moana food court.

9. You can't beat the $119 per night rate for a room that's walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center and just on the outskirts of Waikiki with clean rooms that have in-room safes, refrigerators (for saving doggie bags at said BYOB dinners), coffee makers and complimentary cabled internet.
