1. When the folks next door came home one night overly inebriated screaming in the halls and bouncing against the walls (not the hotel's fault) and THEN ran their shower at 4 a.m. for 30 minutes I was NOT a happy camper.

We were upgraded to a room with two bathrooms, which turned out to be a good thing since one bathroom featured a toilet which sprayed water from the flush handle and the other featured significant mold on the shower tile grout (not that the other shower was without mold, the one just had more!) The room had a weird chemical smell, which I initially attributed to cleaning products, but the room was certainly not overly clean.

4. Very annoying was a poorly-soundproofed drainpipe running past my room, which caused a very loud water-rushing sound from the wall when someone showered or used the toilet so loud I couldn't even hear the TV.

5. There was mold in the shower (both in the caulking along the base of the tub and in the grout between the tiles), the shower curtain had some red spots all over it and along the base which I can only hope were rust caused.
