1. We didn't ask to be moved from the noise of the bell hops and waiters coming in and out with loud trays of food and luggage carts because we were only there for 24 hours.

2. We had a small king bedroom, which was more than adequate but then were moved to a queen double with two - yes two- bathrooms when we complained about the noise from the maid's storage closet across the hall.

3. But all things considered, noise wise, I would consider ourselves majorly lucky as we were placed in a room facing other rooms (Imagine a 'U' shape, we were on one side of the 'U'), otherwise we would be hearing cars and the above ground train on Wabash.
"Amazing hotel in the heart of Chicago! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/12/2012 Vote
4. The biggest negative of this hotel, in my opinion, is the hallway noise from the doors.

5. The only negative is this is a connecting room and the noise from the other guests was unbearable, so I switched rooms after 4 nights.

6. The good: every employee was polite, helpful and welcoming; room size substantial (we had a 2 dbl bed, 2 bathroom room); very comfy beds & pillows; no hallway/adjoining room noise (outside traffic noise was minimal, and we were nowhere near the elevators or the El); the Executive Level breakfast & appetizers were fantastic; pool and hot tub area clean & nice; entire hotel very clean; room service food very tasty.
"Very Pleasant Stay " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/10/2012 Vote
7. Called again after 1:00am and asked if they sent someone since the noise level did not stop.
"The Good the Bad and the Ugly " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/30/2012 Vote
8. You will be able to hear noise from the adjoining rooms (fairly clearly) as well as people walking by in the hallway.
"Good location for tourists " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/16/2012 Vote
9. We were concerned about the L being so close and therefore loud but our room was blissfully quiet and noise was not an issue at all.
"Wonderful Historic Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/18/2012 Vote
10. But at least we didn't have any street noise or noise from the train other reviewers have complained about.
