1. Kauai in April had 'changy' weather (dc), a couple of times the passing shower took its time to move away and it was a bit cool for the beach, but the water was always warm enough to swim in and the weather was great for hiking and kayaking.

Now, the less happy parts:- the beach is not a one where you can truly swim as there are rocks all the way up to the beach- there are often outdoor events that are noisy enough to chase you away from the pool grounds- there is only one pool, which for the size of this hotel and the fact that several families come with a large number of kids in tow, is not enough.

7. The staff is very professional, friendly and clearly aims to please- lots of suggestions about where to go (beaches, excursions etc.) and good about warning you about issues of concern (ie- where ocean currents are rough and to be avoided).
