PS We talked to people on the beach who claimed to be there preparing plans for new more Hawai'ian decor and renovation coming in the next year; this could make a significant difference in perceived value, so keep checking for updates in 2008 (but could they add some balconies while they're at it?).

10. The food, decor and service in Jean George's restaurant was great but it was odd that we were 1 of only 4 couples in a huge and oddly empty and quiet dining room at 8pm on a Friday.
