After twenty five years as a guest of the Mark Hopkins I was anxious to stay at the newest Intercontinental in San Francisco,I arrived to a warm greeting in a massive lobby area and was quickly escorted to a suite on the Club Floor levels,this was huge with a spectacular view,very modern furnishings and totally practical for the busy executive.

9. The breakfast buffet was pretty spectacular and my only disappointment was a industrially baked muffin on the Saturday morning (think it was eggs benedict sitting too long in the heater which was a shame) - but lovely fruit, cereals, bread and smoked salmon so cannot complain.
