1. There were a couple of times I felt like I was in peril and just about everyone we talked to, including the hotel staff, told us that it is not safe.

4. Im a Platinum Ambassador member with this chain and see lots of hotels in the Intercontinental group, this is a great hotel, let down by the lack of that personal warm experience, like you get up the road at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins.

6. Dislikes:As I look like a remnant from a 70's rock band, I got treated like I shouldnt have been there, staff looked sideways, didnt know whether to speak.

8. I would recommend to all families traveling in San Francisco to not rent a car, not only because of the expense, but it's very stressful to navigate around a busy city like SF with all of the bus lanes, speeding taxi cabs and people.
