5. We walked to the Water Tower, Billy Goat Tavern, a fab downtown mall behind Macy's on Michigan, the Signature Room (at Hancock Building), Grant Park (a little bit of a hike) - stopped at all kinds of cool stores, shops, and restaurants along the way.

6. I cant see what they can do about the noise on the Ave unless they double glaze, or tell the cops/ambulance to cool the sirens late at night, but the elevators and the ice machine should be quieter in 2011.

7. and when I called to ask if that was something standard got a 'nope' not even a sorry, or can we buy you a drink in the lobby while the room cools down, or call us back if the room doesn't cool down quickly .

8. The classy doorman who went above and beyond what's called for to earn a tip; the front desk staff that allowed us an extremely early check-in; a top-of-the-line fitness center; and how truly cool the interior redesign made the hotel seem, compared to other chain hotels we've stayed at.
