1. I always say that NY is a 'walking city' you can see so much on foot (comfy shoes a must as my sister-in-law discovered to her cost) and this location is so central that straight away you can start exploring without the need for cabs etc.

8. The room was a good size with 2 double beds (which I may add were very comfy), the bathroom had everything that was needed and the shower was powerful with no problems with the water fluctuating from hot to cold.
