1. Due to the narrow allies in between the hotels, my wife felt that security was a bit sketchy for a single woman.

2. Had an amazing stay at the Strand, stayed in the retro building that was very secure and slept in room 405near the back , helped keep the noise down a bit, but i have been known to sleep thru a hurricane and a earthquake before so no real problems with noise.

5. Betty Ruiz, the Desires Manager, did an awesome job of helping me secure tickets to a Miami Heat basketball game on short notice.

6. I loved that the entrance was hidden, the doors to the buildings were locked (except for the main lobby building which is staffed 24/7) and you had to have a key to enter which gave me a sense of security.

8. The food at Atlantic Grill was amazing (try the Paella) and the service from the front desk check in to the pool side security was amazing.

9. We were careful to always check that the door was locked behind us, but of course that's only as secure as the next guest to use the door.
